We aim to keep parents fully informed about the work of our school and their children. We have a parents information board with information about future events displayed outside the school plus we send additional information out via letter or via this website.
At St. Elizabeth’s we have an open door policy for Parents. We invite parents into school regularly to join us for assemblies and Masses etc and encourage Parents to contact their child’s Classteacher, Phase Leader or the Headteacher if at any time if they are worried about the progress or welfare of their child, or require further information. It is best to telephone for an appointment.
In addition there are regular occasions when parents are invited to school to discuss their children’s progress with the staff. These take place:
- During the first half of the Autumn Term, to enable parents to meet their child’s new teacher and so that information can be exchanged.
- During the first half of the Spring Term for parents to be informed on their child’s progress in all aspects of their education.
- During the Summer Term when there is an open evening to enable parents to discuss their child’s report.
Each class teacher provides a termly sheet of curriculum information for parents. This gives brief details of the areas which will be studied in all subjects during that term.
A bi-lingual Punjabi speaker is available to assist with translation, if required, at Parent Evenings and during the week in school. Additional translators can be provided by MGSS if requested.
